Murungi Igweta

Pastor Murungi Igweta was born in Miathene, Meru County. The Lord opened his heart to see the gravity and depravity of his sins, and to flee to Christ and, by faith, receive God’s rich saving grace in the year 2001. The call to the ministry came almost immediately, with a strong desire to reach the least reached communities with the gospel. In 2003, he married Charity and over the years the Lord has blessed them with three children. He has served as a pastor of Trinity Baptist Church since 2010. Murungi strongly desires that God would be glorified through His church, by which His manifold wisdom and grace are revealed to the world, that Christ is forever exalted by the saints through the Spirit. He can be reached through murungi@hotmail.com

Paul Gachungu – Pastor of Trinity Grace Church

Paul Gachungi – Pastor of Grace Reformed Baptist Church

Paul was born and raised in Nairobi where he attended church as regularly as was possible during his early years. It was not until 2015, however, during the final year of his studies at the University of Nairobi, that the Lord graciously saved him from his sins. His sense of a call to the ministry came some months afterwards through his involvement in a Bible study and teaching Sunday school. In 2019, he began his theological studies with Trinity Pastors College and joined TBC the same year. He is married to Joyce and, together, they have a daughter called Erin with the hope of more in the future. He was for very brief period one of the pastors of TBC but is currently the pastor of Grace Reformed Baptist Church in Ruiru. He desires to do ministry in the city of Nairobi and to be involved in training men for the ministry. He can be reached through pabloruhiu@gmail.com

George Gachara – Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church

George Gachara

I was born and brought up in Nyeri, Kenya in a religious family. As an undergraduate student in the 90s, the explosion of Pentecostalism in Kenya created in me an intellectual curiosity regarding world religions though this dissipated as soon as I graduated. It was during my Post-doctoral studies in 2015 that the Lord in His divine mercy showed me how deceitful my heart was, showed me the gravity of my sins and my inability to save myself. He graciously saved me and gave me a new heart. I am married to Lucy and the Lord has blessed us with four children. I currently serve as a Lecturer at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya. My greatest desire is to see Trinity Pastors College equip their graduates to teach what accords with sound doctrine (Titus 2:1) in a region warming up to secular humanism and traditional religious beliefs.

Eric Abwao

Eric Abwao

Eric grew up as the eldest of eight siblings in a family where they enjoyed the privilege of parents who influenced them for Christ. It was around his 19th birthday that the Lord opened his eyes to his dire need for the saving mercies found only in the person and work of Jesus Christ. He was at that time re-born as a child of God who today continues to know forgiveness of and victory over sins, and peace with God in Christ alone. In college, while studying Commerce, the Lord began opening doors of opportunity for Eric to serve His people in the church. He was set apart to be a pastor at Trinity Baptist Church, Nairobi in November 2014. Together with his wife, Jedidah, they are blessed with four children – Mich, Jamor, Wendo and Kwe. He can be reached through ericabwao@yahoo.com

Tonny Karwa

Tonny Karwa

Tonny has been pastoring Grace Baptist Church-Kisumu since May 2019. He is married to Sally Olivia, and together, the Lord has blessed them with two boys—Junior and Levin. He pursued BSc. in Mechanical Engineering at Kenyatta University before later proceeding to Trinity Pastors’ College (Nairobi) for his theological and ministerial education. He is a speaker at the African Pastors’ Conferences.

Francis Kalawa

Francis Kalawa

The Lord was please to save Francis at young age of 15 years. Many of his years in high school and university were spent in the error of the ‘gospel’ of works and prosperity. However, towards the end of college, Francis interacted with the reformed faith and the Truth of the Gospel was more clearly revealed. He is now very passionate about preaching the Gospel especially in the context of the local Church. His desire is to see more pastors and preachers of the Gospel equipped with the Truth and resources to enable them to perform their God-given responsibilities more clearly, precisely, and biblically. Francis together with his wife Rosemary are members of Grace Reformed Baptist Church, Ruiru, and are blessed with two children Gyan and Toria.
